few races have been for us. Finishing 5th is not bad, but it's certainly not where I'd like to have ended my night.
But a top-5 finish is what we have and what we'll take home with us. We'll keep working hard untill we secure that first

Adam Welch- Post Race Report
(PRESS RELEASE 8-15-06)
By the way the last few weeks of
racing went, you could'nt blame Adam Welch if he decides to start carrying a rabbit's foot in his pocket in a effort to change
his luck. Despite the luck and rain clouds the #71 Chevy Camaro headed to Caraway seeking redemption. Adam started
in the 8th position and began to tear his way to the front, and went under the checkered flag in the 6th spot.
THIS IS WHAT
ADAM HAD TO SAY AFTER THE RACE:
"The car just would not cut in the corners like is should, I was pleased with the effort,
the program is getting better and going the distance and coming home without damage is allways a plus, but coming
home with a win would be nice too"

(PRESS RELEASE 6-16-06)
Ice in his veins & lead
in his foot is what best describes Adam Welch. What was going on? Well I will tell you what is new, is was the 1st race of
the year for Adam and the 1st race for the new car. But what was'nt new was the familiar old #71 on the high banks of
Caraway and Adam Welch snagging a top 5. There was almost enough excitement in the grandstands to ward off the
chill in the air Friday night. The big crowd jammed the grandstands to see one heck of a race, and they got what they
paid for, one heck of race...
Adam started the race in the 8th and kept in clean and brought it home 5th. What else can you ask for in a 1st race? Adam
had this to say after the race :
"This is just beginning of great things to come we will be back
in a couple of weeks to try again, and I know what is wrong and next time a top 5 won't be good enough, and a big thanks goes
out to Eddie Seagroves, Bobby Jones, and to Auto Electric of Sanford. Thanks for all the support. See

Team #71 Resurfaces in 2006
(PRESS RELEASE 3-10-06)
Street Stock racing with Adam Welch
Racing hasn't previously been a menu item, but it's now sounding like a recipe for a winning combination. Adam Welch, as well as Caraway Speedway, has confirmed that he will make his 2006 return driving
in the street-stock division. Adam's familiar #71 will be displayed on Welch Racing's latest addition, a '75 camaro.
Preseason Report From Adam:
"What a winter is has been a what a summer it will be. The camaro is the newest car
in my fleet, but I think its gonna be the best one. The car has a blank sheet as far as its history, but I don't think
the sheet will stay blank for long. We have been working all winter on the car and it will be ready for the 1st race in June.
Ever since I started, it has always been a dream of mine to run the street stock division. I feel it is one of the
most challenging divisons at Caraway, but I am up for the challenge. I'm counting down the days, hours, minutes, and
seconds until that 1st race. I will post some pics of the new car as soon as they are available. Thanks for reading
and if I were you, I would check back soon... "

he will be back next year driving something somewhere at sometime. There will be more updates & thanks for taking
the time to read this...

Adam Welch ready to Roll the Dice
on May 6th
(PRESS RELEASE 4-20-05)
No this is not a game of craps but a game of racing, after two rigorous enduro starts, with subpar preformances, Adam
looks to dive in head first on May 6th. The car had been checked, the paint is dry and the familiar #71 black Oldsmobile
in ready to hit the track. A good finish would go a long way in validating a enduro career, that so far has been
long on promise and short on success.
Prerace Quotes from Adam:
"I am definitely gonna throw everything I have at them. What
do I have to lose? I wanna go out there and make a statement, show everybody what we can do. We have had two not
so good races, but we are like a Timex, we take a beating but keep on ticking. We are due for a good
run, I have raced numerous races at Caraway and I could drive there with my eyes closed, but don't worry I won't.
With all that said I am gonna leave it like this, talk is cheap so I am gonna do my talking on the asphalt. But don't
take my word for it, come check it out for yourself."

Early Exit = 23rd Place
Finish
(Press Release 12-6-04)
If it wasn't for bad luck, this team would not have any luck. As once again lighting strikes
and forces and early exit on lap 81 in the 100 lap v8 Enduro main event. It wasn't any of the other 42 competitors
that got in the way, but a part failure that ended the day early.
Postrace Quotes
From Adam:
"As
I was sitting in the car on pitroad, with the hood up and the crew scavenging all over it searching for the culprit,
I was wondering if there was anything else that could go wrong. On lap 81 a 5 cent keeper that controls the fuel to
the car fell off and kept us from finishing the race. I started 4th and fell back several spots, but the car was coming around.
We had avoided some big wrecks and got caught up in a few small ones, but I was scratching and clawing back until all that
happened. Hopefully we have burried all the bad luck and we'll come out next year swinging. I am still putting all the
finishing touches on next years plans, but we hope to run all the v8 enduro races and who knows you might catch me in a 4cyl
enduro too. Thanks to all my friends who came out and showed there support. And last not but not least I want to thank
Howard Plumbing for helping me out for this race and look forward to working with great and established company again. I realize
this year was just a building block for great things to come and I can't wait for next year, because it should be big and
when I say big its BIG!!! I hope everybody has a Happy and safe Holidays, check back here for updates and next year's schedule."

Nowhere in any racing news have you ever seen
a driver more determined to win than Adam Welch. Since the Sept. 10th race the team has been working nonstop in order to have
the car back together for the season finale 100 lap Enduro race. Mechanical failures resulted in a short race in the teams
Enduro debut, but that was then and this is now and hopefully all the hard work and dedication sence then will pay off.
Prerace Race Quotes From Adam:
THIS IS ADAM WELCH AND I APPROVE THIS
MESSAGE:
"The Turkey 300 is one of the Southeast's
most prestigious races, the greatest stars and cars will be on hand and with a little luck, we'll be able to shake that monkey
off our back, and show everybody what we are capable of doing. I always said that there would be another race and another
day,and I really beleive that this time we will be ready, with one Enduro race under my belt, I did learn how to compensate
the difference from the 4cyl's to the v8's, and when the green drops,I'll be ready. I know Caraway is one of NASCARS'S most
competetive tracks, but I am focused on putting together a solid showing and silence my critics and give my friends and family
something to scream about. But don't take my word for it, come see for yourself"

Shortlived Enduro Debut for Team #71 (Press Release 9-13-04)
After breezing through prerace inspections things looked up for
the #71 team but as the green flag dropped, the day Adam Welch was looking for would not come. At the start of the race there
was smoke billowing out from underneath the Adam Welch owned machine, hoping it would fix itself he countinued on. Adam scratched
and crawled forward, picking up positions and just buying his time. On lap 20 the water temp. began to climb and then on lap
22 Adam relayed a messege to the crew that a knock in the engine had started. Adam dove down pit road and after a quick look
under the hood the crew realized it was termial and there day was done.
A Letter from Adam:
Thank you to all my friends for your
support Friday night. It was really a hectic night for me and the entire crew, but here's the truth from my mouth, the engine
let go on lap 22 resulting in a DNF. It was the result of a oil leak and heating problem. It was my and my team's intention
to complete and finish the race on high note. As of now I don't know what the future holds, but the tenative plan is to be
back in action in November. I am really focused on putting the #71 Olds in Victory lane.
One more thing... I can't say enough
about how much I appreciate the efforts from my crew and friends for sticking with me. And it's not over! This is just the
beginning. You have not seen the last of Adam Welch. Stay tuned! There should be an update soon and there are bigger and better

Handling Spoils Adam's Return to the Track (READ MORE)
On July 17th after a 8 month absence Adam returned to the track.
After starting 2nd in a 14 car field, Adam drifted backwards quickly. Adam searched for grip but searching for grip was scarace
as none was ever found, As he managed to cross the line in a very disappointing 10th place...
Quotes from Adam:
" We were behind the 8 ball from the beginning, after making
the wrong adjustments after practice, we could not find any grip, it felt like I was riding on marbles out there, the car
was too loose in the corners and we foundered on straightaway speed, I kissed the wall coming off of turn 4 and from then
on I held on till the finish. I blame it on myself and the handling gremlins, I do want to say thanks to my freinds who came
out and showed there support"

on was just incredible.. With Crew chief Lee Welch calling the shots from the pits making great calls all day..We will take
the 4th come back and try to get them next time... To all my fans I would like to tip my hat and say thanks for your support...
See you soon in Victory lane..."
