Welch Post 16th Place Finish at Caraway

(PRESS RELEASE 12-15-08)

            

          From the start of the day, till the end of the Caraway Speedway season finale, Adam & team battled misfortunes all day, and it ended with the team only running 3 laps in the race.    "It just was'nt the way we wanted to end our season" Welch Stated "The car cutoff and it would'nt start back, the battery died, had a flat tire, and I spun it out during the heat race, and that was before the race started. Then during the race the water pump broke. We'll go back to the shop and look forward to returning to a successful 2009 season." 

 

Welch Racing Team Heads to Caraway for Season Finale

(PRESS RELEASE 11-20-08)

 

        Adam Welch was hoping to be spraying champagne in victory lane this year, but so far that has not been the case, but with one more race left theres still time for that type of a post race celebration.  "We worked hard all this year" said Welch "A couple of malfunctions with the car of which was out of my hands put us really behind, but we have one more shot to make this season right and end it on a high note"

 

Welch Runs Well at Caraway, but Bad Luck Wins out

(PRESS RELEASE 9-3-08)

       When you mention Caraway Speedway to someone their eyes light up.  Everybody wants to go to Caraway and see a race.  Its no different for a driver except they want to go there and win a race, but a crash on lap 1 prevented Adam at a chance to win on Saturday night.

         POSTRACE FROM ADAM: "The day started out great we won our heat race and we were starting 1st in our 35 lap race, but I guess somebody thought it was a 1 lap race race, as we got wrecked on the first lap, we went from 1st to last, but managed to get back to 8th at the end, we'll live to race another day and hopefully a different outcome"

 

Welch Scores Season-Best Finish at Caraway

(PRESS RELEASE 7-29-08)

      As practice began on Friday, the Welch racing team went into action to adjust the for the track conditions, Adam made changes to refine the the setup, and the changes that were made were the right ones, as the results would show a strong 3rd place finish..     Postrace From Adam:

        "This was a team effort, I knew after having to start 8th, I was gonna to have too pass alot of car and pick up some track position.  We are heading home with a great finish, we will be back this Friday and look to put this Chevy up front"

 

Adam Scores Three 6th place Finishes in a Row

(PRESS RELEASE 6-17-08)

       In racing consistency is the key, but for Adam & team piling up 6th place finishes is not what they want, they want more. 

        At Caraway a mysterious handling problem has relagated Adam to three 6th place finishes in a row. But  Adam and team have a couple of weeks to try to solve the mystery and start piling up better finishes.

 

Adam & Team Face Disappointment at Caraway

(PRESS RELEASE 5-14-08)

        Adam & team went to Asheboro on Mother's Day weekend for the 2nd race of the year riding high on momemtum from the 4th place finish in the last race and looking for another great performance in this race, however misfortune struck and left the #71 Chevy with a broke axle and a disappointing 12th place finish.

         Post race from Adam:

Its just frustrating, this was the type of race that I try to avoid, we were pretty decent in the race and we were in position to have a great night and get a top 5 but instead we get 12th, I'll get it fixed and be back.

 

Welch Takes 4th at Caraway

(PRESS RELEASE 3-25-08)

        Adam Welch has earned his first top five of the season with a fourth place finsh in the seasons first race for the street stocks.  Welch qualified the #71 Chevy Camaro in the seventh position and wasted to time moving up the leader board. Post Race with Welch  "We're very pleased, but I think I left a little on the table and could have been a couple of spots stronger then we were, I am gonna tinker with it and make it better but I know we are on the right track"

 

Adam Welch Caraway Race Preview

(PRESS RELEASE 3-14-08)

        Last season was a trial and error whilwind lesson, but now that the dust has settled, its time to knock the cobwebs out of the car and go racing. A optimistic Adam has this to say " I think we have a good shot at having a strong run, we are going into Caraway with a car with a fresh facelift and a new engine. I look forward to a big start in 08"

Welch Closes out Season

(PRESS RELEASE 12-4-07)

          Adam Welch concluded his 2007 Caraway Street Stock season with a strong seventh place finish.  With this run it earned him sixth position in the season long driver standing.  Welch performed well all race after starting 15th in a 20 car field. 

         POSTRACE REPORT FROM ADAM:

"I really feel like I've come a long way this year,  It's been a journey for us, this run was a really good bounce back for us, our morale is high and we're confident going into 2008 and its really going to be exciting."
